TransformMovie is an app for rotating, special effects filtering and sizing many movies at one time, and even changing their rate of play. Since TransformMovie employs QuickTime to do its work, it supports many movie formats. You can also use it to create movies from other file formats, like text or pdf.

If TransformMovie is having trouble processing your movies you may need to install additional QuickTime components. One useful source is at http://Perian.org.

Drag files or folders onto the application or its main window. Use "Preferences" to modify settings, such as rotation degrees, center of rotation, scale factors and the movie display rectangle.

An historic image

This is the first movie TransformMovie ever rotated. It is a movie made by my daughter in elementary school, many years ago. Because she held the camera sideways, the movie displayed with the wrong orientation. She asked me how to rotate a movie to fix it, and because I didn't know I created TransformMovie.

If your digital camara's movie orientation is wrong because of how you held the camera, TransformMovie can fix that. Actually, as noted above, this was the original motivation for creating TransformMovie!

Using preset image filters to movie frames special effects can be added to the whole movie. For example you could turn a color movie into a monochrome one, or color posterize it.

TransformMovie can change the width and height of the movie, and change length of time it takes to play. For example, you can make a movie look like it is running in slow motion, or speed it up so you can run through it quickly for an overview of its content.
